Hehe, to be fair, I inherited a few of them from people who aren't here anymore. It's how I wound up with four from the Litwick family... But yes, they can and do fly through walls! That particular skill has actually come in handy a few times, hehehe...

[Breaking and entering for prank set up. Why do people let John have ghosts. Why.]

But whatever the energy-slash-technology is that keeps other Pokémon inside their balls works the same on ghosts. Though my Haunter has figured out how to free himself from his ball, much to my simultaneous pride and chagrin. Thankfully, he doesn't do it too often.

But yes! That is exactly what Shedinja is like. They are... admittedly a little creepy. Not scary, mind you, I am not scared of any ghost type especially none of mine since most of them are either sweethearts or giant goofballs or both. But Shedinja is just... hell I am sure if you saw one, you would understand. I love Exos dearly but I am pretty sure my Omanyte is the only one of my Pokémon who isn't at least mildly weirded out by him. And uh Davy Jones is... [He glances over his shoulder at the Omantye, who has since abandoned chewing on the Squiddle doll and is instead attempting to carry on a conversation with it.] ...special.

No but okay does your world seriously not have Halloween? That is a damn shame because it's basically the best holiday. It's held on October 31st and it's all about spooks and pranks and dressing up to get free candy. It's a lot of fun. But last year there was a Yamask swarm and a bunch of people ended up getting possessed.
