I wasn't romantically involved with any of them, but one of them was someone I respected to some extent, and the others were people that we thought were friends! But they all turned out...well, crazy, like you said.

Most of the boys I know are more prone to delinquency, if they're going to be flagrant about anything - which isn't good either, obviously, but at least they're straightforward about their tendencies! Whereas the girls seemed fine until they suddenly weren't; it was a lot more jarring when it came to the girls. So I don't know that they did anything that was necessarily worse - however, the sudden shift in behavior made it seem really...extreme? If that makes sense!
