prank #21 | action for violet city/video

[Action for anywhere in Violet City; Around noon]

[Hello Violet city. Having a nice day? Say, have you ever seen a seven foot tall ghost before? No? Well today's your lucky day then, because there's one (a Dusknoir to be exact) floating down the street this very moment. Should you happen to be walking toward this lazily floating spectre, you might not notice anything odd at first. Though if you look at its "collar" you'll see a set of human hands grasping each side of it.]

[Strange.]

[If you stand still and continue watching, letting the ghost float past you, however, the hands will make sense as you will be greeted with the following sight:]

[Yes, this is apparently the Dusknoir equivalent of a piggyback ride, and John is having the time of his life...even though it really isn't moving any faster than he could walk on his own. In fact, it might actually be moving slower.]

[Approach? He'll just be floating around for a while and doesn't appear to be too terribly busy.]

[Video Transmission; some time later...probably about 30 minutes to an hour.]

[When the feed clicks on, the image is very dark. Like, really dark. The only thing you can actually, sort-of see is John's face. And that's only because the dim light of the pokegear screen is reflecting off of his face. It's causing some major glare issues with his glasses, so you can't really see his eyes. However, he has what is quite possibly the biggest, most excited, grin ever on his face.]

Hey, did anyone know that the zig-zag pattern on Dusknoir's body is actually some kind of mouth? [A stifled, giggling noise.] Guess where I am right now?

[The feed clicks off.]

((ooc: Since the second one can technically also be action, please specify which scenario you're doing if you're going the action route. Thanks! :D))

[At this point, Elliot the Dusknoir has stopped, sensing that his master intends to have a conversation with this boy. So he's just...gonna kinda bob up and down a little.]

Oh god...that same thing happened to us too the first time we were here. I swear that's just how this city works. You get stuck in it for months. But uh, what's she jealous of?
shiromadoushi: (Yo!)

Were you trying for the badge too? [[since that was what got them suck so long. Mostly on account of his ghosts.]]

And she doesn't really like me paying attention to other people's pokemon when she's around. [[Amane-chan agrees with a screech and Bakura pats her lightly on the head]] Or really, other pokemon that aren't her! You should have seen the fit she had when I got Vasuki's egg! She almost pulled all of my hair out!

[Action]

[identity profile] usedwindything.livejournal.com 2011-08-03 10:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Badges were part of the reason, yeah. But mostly it was because people from our universe kept showing up and other people wanted to wait for them so that we could all travel together. It was like every time we were ready to leave, someone else would show up and we'd have to sit around and wait another week and a half.

That...does not sound pleasant. Having your hair ripped out, I mean. But how do you catch other pokémon then? Or is she your only one?

She eventually calms down. [[a fond smile]] Once she realizes that I'm not going to ignore here just because there's something else catching my interest.

So a lot of people from your world are here then?

[identity profile] usedwindything.livejournal.com 2011-08-03 11:19 pm (UTC)(link)
That's good! So does that mean you were interested in Elliot here, then? [A nod to the ghost.]

There are a fair few, yeah. There used to be a lot more but some of them have gone back home. Then some have come back after being sent home. Aaaand then some of them have repeated the process a few times. Johto seems to have a hard time keeping us all here.

Un! I've never seen one like that before! Or one that big!

[[listens to the explanation with a small nod. Aaa, problems he almost wishes he had!]] Sort of a slippery hold with your friends, eh?

[Action]

[identity profile] usedwindything.livejournal.com 2011-08-04 01:09 am (UTC)(link)
Heh, yeah I had no idea he was going to get this big. He was much smaller as a Duskull, about the same size as your Misdreavus. I am most definitely not complaining though.

[It's very a very sad problem though, Bakura, John wouldn't wish it on anybody.] You could say that. Very slippery with some of them.
shiromadoushi: (uwaaaa~!)

[personal profile] shiromadoushi 2011-08-04 01:19 am (UTC)(link)
Heeeeeh, that's what a Duskull evolves into?! [[oh man. Totally working on leveling Shinigami now~]]

[[Sometimes he just wishes he could see his friends from home again, even for a little while.]] I guess the pull of back home just is too strong, huh?

[Action]

[identity profile] usedwindything.livejournal.com 2011-08-04 01:43 am (UTC)(link)
Yup! This is its last stage. It evolves into Dusclops at level thirty-seven and then if you have a Reaper Cloth and someone to trade with, you can evolve it again. Fortunately, once you make it to Goldenrod city you can easily get one of those at the department store there. [So. Very. Worth it. John wishes he had started training him sooner.]

[Yes...that part would be nice. So long as they don't leave.] Must be.

Aaa, good to know! Shinigami's only level 11, so he'll have a while to go before that, so I'll be sure to have that ready for him when he gets there!

[Action]

[identity profile] usedwindything.livejournal.com 2011-08-04 05:54 am (UTC)(link)
Good idea. And I'm sure the rest of those levels will pass by in no time. Does the name "Shinigami" mean anything, by any chance? It sounds kinda cool.
shiromadoushi: (Embarrassed laugh)

[personal profile] shiromadoushi 2011-08-04 02:32 pm (UTC)(link)
A shinigami is a death god. [[looks almost sheepish to admit. It's not his most creative name...]]

[Action]

[identity profile] usedwindything.livejournal.com 2011-08-04 11:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Really? Neat! That's a good name for a Duskull then. The do kind of look uncannily like mini Grim Reapers. [It's okay. Only one of John's pokémon has a name that can be considered creative. Not exactly his forte.]
shiromadoushi: (Side smile happy happy)

They really do! It's really cool! The ghost pokemon here are pretty amazing! [[hugs Amane at that]]

[Action]

[identity profile] usedwindything.livejournal.com 2011-08-05 04:53 am (UTC)(link)
Hehe, I would have to agree wholeheartedly there! They're pretty much the best type there is. How many do you have, then?
shiromadoushi: (Embarrassed laugh)

[Action]

[personal profile] shiromadoushi 2011-08-05 12:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Six of them so far! In addition to Amane-chan [[nods to the one in his arms]] Fuushi is a Drifloon, Gollum's a Sableye, Dama's a Gastly, Kage's a Shuppet and then there's Shinigami. [[a grin]]

[Action]

[identity profile] usedwindything.livejournal.com 2011-08-05 10:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Nice! I have five myself. A Haunter, a Drifblim, a Rotom, a Spiritomb, and then Elliot here. [A nod to the Dusknoir.] I used to have a Shuppet, but he was a gift for a friend, so I don't have him anymore. It's nice to finally meet someone else who appreciates ghost types!
shiromadoushi: (Side smile happy happy)

[personal profile] shiromadoushi 2011-08-07 12:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Heee, that's a pretty impressive line up!

And the same here! Even here, most people don't seem to be to fond of them, so it really is nice!

[Action]

[identity profile] usedwindything.livejournal.com 2011-08-08 08:40 am (UTC)(link)
Thanks!

Yeah, that's mostly what I have seen too. But I guess it's just hard for some people to change their opinions on them even if they're a little different here than they are in other places. Ghost pokémon really aren't all that scary looking at all! Some of them are actually pretty cute.
shiromadoushi: (Small smile)

[Action] Somehow I thought I replied already WHOOPS.

[personal profile] shiromadoushi 2011-08-12 02:22 am (UTC)(link)
Some of them are still pretty ghostly looking! [[Which is a very cool thing!]] I guess no matter where you are, some people just don't like anything creepy.
