[Now that the wong has wound down somewhat, John's starting to come down from his happy high a bit. Not that this really means much since he's pretty happy anyway. Sure he was a little confused to find himself in a room in the Cianwood hotel this morning considering he was in Goldenrod last he remembered. But that's beside the point!]

[The point is, clearly, the small pile of eggs visible on screen behind him, being tended to by a Lopunny in a pink sweater, an Espeon, and an Altaria. John clears his throat. Rose has entrusted him with selling the eggs while she's out taking care of other things and dammit he is not going to screw this up! PROFESSIONALISM IS KEY.]

Good afternoon! My name is John Egbert and as you can see, I have a few eggs here that need homes. I know what you may be thinking: [He puts on a nonsensical voice.] 'but I just got an egg yesterday, John! I really don't need another one!' And that's fine, you are entitled to your own opinon but let me just ask you this. Do you know what's better than one freshly hatched baby pokemon? [A pause and then an excited:] TWO freshly hatched baby pokemon! Or more! Seriously, you can never have too many baby pokemon! Especially when they are something as adorable as an Eevee, Swablu, or Buneary! Which, in my humble opinion is pretty much the most adorable pokemon there is.

Uhm... [He falls silent. Where was he going with this? He kind of got lost in his spiel there.] Oh right! I almost forgot. Egg moves and prices! [He pulls a crumpled piece of paper out of his pocket, unfolding it and reading it. Seems Rose left him a note so that he wouldn't forget...you know. The most important part of selling eggs. Though John seems to take some issue with what's written on the paper, quirking a brow and mumbling to himself for a minute.] Are these really the right prices...? [And then he remembers that this is still filming.]

Oh! Um, I am just going to send this info as a text since it will probably be easier than having me list it off verbally. Why didn't I just do that from the beginning...

Hmm... How would you feel about a trade?

A trade? Well that would depend on what the trade is for but I don't see why not!

Excellent! I was thinking... a Mawile egg for one of your Swablu eggs? It has the egg moves Ice Fang, Fire Fang, and Thunder Fang. But if that doesn't interest you, I have quite a decent amount of other Pokémon to choose from.

Ooo. That sounds like quite the interesting moveset. But what exactly is a Mawile? I haven't heard of that species before. Well I guess most importantly, what type is it?

[Luckily, Clive has his Mawile in his party right now, so he sends her out right away to show what they look like.]

It's a pure Steel type. The large set of jaws on its head are even strong enough to bite through metal!

[She smirks proudly and opens her jaws as wide as they can go to demonstrate just how menacing they can be before suddenly snapping them shut, creating quite a frightening sound. Clive is used to her doing that now, though.]

[His eyes widen in wonder as he stares at the little pokemon.]

Well I still don't have a steel type yet...and they are oddly adorable. And powerful from the sound of it! I trading a Swablu egg for A Mawlie one would be more than okay! I can send my Pidgeot over your way or we can use the transfer system in the Center, whichever is easier. [A beat.] Unless you happen to be in Cianwood.

I'm in Goldenrod at the moment, so the transfer system would likely be the best method. I'll head over to the Pokémon Center now.

[He returns his Mawile back to her ball and walks off-screen for a moment to fetch the egg, and then he's off.]

Oh, I never gave you my name, did I? I'm Luke Triton.

Alright, sounds good! It's nice to meet you Lu-- wait what?

[He does a double take. He knows Luke Triton...and Luke Triton was his age last he checked!]

You did say Luke Triton, right?

[Oh, well this is quite an interesting reaction. It's not that hard for Clive to guess why he would react in such a way, though.]

I certainly did! You've met Little Luke, haven't you?

If by Little Luke you mean uh...I guess the same guy as you but who is a little younger then, yes! I have. We're friends!

Well, if you're friends with my younger self, then I suppose that makes us friends, too!

[He smiles brightly at that.]

Oh, and I'm at a PC now. I'm ready whenever you are.

[Ah, time shenanigans. Suddenly it all makes sense!]

Ack, I'm almost there, walking in the Pokecenter now, sorry. [The camera jostles a bit as he jogs over to the PC and begins pressing buttons.] So you're Luke from the future then?
