[So John was just bopping around Saffron, taking all this weird shit as it came but being completely unaffected by it himself. Well, save for that Castform that he still has no idea where it came from. But aside from that...nada. Until midday on Saturday, that is. Then he suddenly lost consciousness, right there in the middle of the street! Except his body never hit the ground. Instead, it disappeared entirely in a brief, pixellated blip. Needless to say, his Lopunny, Litwick, and Castform are more than a little confused by this. Panicked is probably a better word, to be honest.]

[Maybe you saw it, maybe you didn't. Either way, John's pokegear turns on a few minutes later, though it isn't Saffron in the background and the Egbert boy in question seems a little...off. His eyes are a rather shocking electric blue, far brighter than normal, and framed in bubblegum pink glasses. His normally dark hair has lightened to a bright gold, with a large pink lollipop is stuck to in it. Despite the fact that he's in the middle of what appears to be the Ice Path, he's wearing a short-sleeved blue shirt. And while John is typically smiling and generally a pretty happy guy, now his smile seems almost too big for his face. Occasionally, he seems to almost...glitch, his image spontaneously sort of shorting out or pixellating.]

Oh, what's this? The little text box has video too? Neato! Hehehehe. I never would have guessed that I would come back to this weird place again. At least I think this is the same place, I mean this b-- -sa-a-aaame.[Seems his speech is affected by the glitching too, not that he seems to notice.]

Anyhoo! Gotta question for ya'! What does a wicked chi-- ooooo! What's that!?! [Seems he's spotted something just a little ways away, off camera.] Ice creee-e-eee-eaa-am!?

[The gear clatters to the floor, catching a very brief shot of John's weird, hyperactive look-a-like as he dashes towards something floating a few feet away before shutting off.]

[This can only end well... wait a minute. Was that idiot wearing shorts?!]

[Hai John, have your Davesprite contact you through video, because why not? From the background, it seems like the sprite is sitting on some tree branch.]

How... delightful. [Last time this Davesprite and his John spoke, they weren't in very good terms so, yeah. Not really the first person this guy wanted to see.]

[When the feed turns back on, John has the "ice cream" in one hand. He's looking happy as a clam about it, but the Vanillish looks, understandably, distressed by the situation. With his free hand, John holds up two fingers, grinning from ear to ear. V for victory? Peace sign?]

[Oh, no apparently it's supposed to be the number two. Boring.]

Kinda wonder if it's always cold like this here. It was snowing l-l-lllllast-t-t last time too!

[OK, so it seems like this John doesn't want to see his guts all over the floor. Which is good. But weird.]

I don't really know. Maybe... [He just notices the strangeness on John's voice.]

What was that just now? John, are you glitching?

[Nope, that he does not. Making people bleed isn't really his thing and to be honest, he only has the vaguest idea who Davesprite is. After all, his "real" self has never seen the sprite before. But he's Dave and he's ghosty and he's sort of a bird. And he can put 1 and 1 and 1 together.]

[It seems that John had little problem in acquiring the supposed "ice cream," though he hasn't actually tried it yet. That is the one thing going for this poor little Vanillish right now.]

[John quirks a brow at the screen, his smile fading somewhat. He's pretty sure this is Rose, but she doesn't look quite right. His Rose is different. Less pink, more mint-chocolate-chipy. And he's not sure what's up with that neon green aura of laughter at all.]

Rose? That you? You look funny.

[the impossible grin on Rose's face remains in place, although the miasma around her swirls a little more violently. she seems more amused at this turn of events than anything else.]

Of course not! [The smile hitches right back into place and he giggles. Maybe whatever this place is did something weird to her. No biggie.]

[you're not the only one who can make hideous title related puns, John. Rose's ever-present laughter briefly rises up to an almost hysterical pitch, although it's difficult to really tell if it's because she thought his joke was funny or not]

[At that, "John" does a one-handed, reactionary pantomime of being stabbed in the heart. The Vanillish make a rather distressed noise as the hand "John" is holding him in flies out to one side.]

[the giggles kick up a few notches at the shenanigans as Rose rolls her eyes and addresses the Vanillish just as she'd threatened to]

He's rather _{HOOHOOAHAHAHA} melodramatic, isn't he? I don't know why I _HEEHEEHEE put up with him as much _{HAHAHEEHEEHOO} as I do.

[Lady, this Vanillish literally does not care. As far as he's concerned, you're both nuts. He was just minding his own business and then suddenly this kid is pouncing him and staring at him with hungry eyes and what did he even do to deserve this, huh? He's a respectable Vanillish! Has a lovely wife and kids and basically life was good until you two showed up. Or something like that.]

[He flails as the Vanillish flees for its life. This was hardly a good experience for him, either.]
