[When John clicks on the feed today, he's accompanied by not one, but two Lopunnies. The One of them (Casey, judging by the pink sweater) is half-cradling the other and stroking its head, occasionally making shhh'ing noises. A Shinx lays next to them, and in John's lap rests the head of the saddest looking shiny Gallade you'll ever see. John himself looks exhausted, though moreso in the emotional sense than the sense of needing to take a nap.]

[He stares at the screen blankly for a good minute before finally speaking, in a voice that sounds as dull and tired as he looks.]

Vriska Serket has gone back home. If any of her Pokemon found their way to you, please let me know. I want to make sure they're all accounted for. And if they did just...promise me that you will take good care of them.

[He falls silent again, looking as though there's more he wants to say. In the end, he can't figure out what to say and ends up tightening his grip on the (what appears to be) a piece of twine clenched in his right hand.]

[Luke hasn't been giving his Pokgear much attention since his trip to the hospital, but he's not going to ignore a message from John. Especially one that hits so close to home.]

...I'm sorry, John. Is there anything I can do?

Hey Luke. Nah, it's okay. [He pauses.] I'm okay.

[Which...he is and he isn't. He's very conflicted on this matter right now.]

Thanks though. Are you feeling any better?

[For a moment, he tries to think of something hopeful to say. But he doubts John would want to hear something like "maybe she'll come back". He knows he didn't want to hear it when the people he was close to left.]

It's never easy when someone leaves, but if you want you're always welcomed to stay with myself and Flora.

[At John's question, he pauses. He wasn't over the Professor leaving, but as far as he injuries are concerned...]

I'm doing better. You should see the cast they gave me, got to pick out my own color for it and everything.

[He's pretty sure she'll come back. She's managed to come here three times after all, to him this equates to good chances. But there's an entire other issue if she does come back that he doesn't really want to think about. Usually he's not bothered when people don't remember their previous times here, but...Vriska was definitely different.]

I might drop by and visit some time. You're still in Goldenrod, right? We're back here for the holidays so...yeah. Right now though I think I just want to track down her pokemon and go lay down for a while. I don't know.

[He manages to smile a little bit.]

Really? What color did you get?

Mhm, we're in Goldenrod. I don't plan to go anywhere for the holidays, so you're welcome to stop by.

[Mostly because he can't go anywhere with a broken leg, and he's yet to find his motivation for Pokemon training.]

Green, of course! ...No kidding, I got blue.

Yeah, I think the plan is just to stay here through the holidays. Then go...somewhere, I don't know. Half our group needs the Kanto badges and half needs the Johto ones so we'll see how it goes I guess.

Excellent choice, though green would also not have been bad.

[But let's face it, blue is the best there is.]

I'm still one short in Johto. [but he doesn't plan to go back into Pokemon training for a while.] But I'm glad to hear you're staying through the holidays.

What can I say? I'm a blue kind of man.

[...he's not entirely sure that made any sense. Oh well.]

Yeah, it just seemed a little silly for all of us to go our separate ways after everybody's birthdays at the start of the month when Christmas was right around the corner.

And that's a damn good sort of man to be, if I do say so myself.

[It seemed to make enough sense to John at least? Though who can really say what that means.]

Sounds like a better idea to wait until after the holidays. Those gyms are going anywhere...

I think. Unless that's Team Rocket's next plan.
