[Oh man, he will actually laugh. Then tell John to give him one that he can play up. He'll even buy a sombrero, just give him that.]

[Okay so he kind of lied about the five minutes thing. It's really more like ten minutes but eventually John has left the Pokemon Center with more flying types in hand and texts sent out to all the necessary party members.]

[He's ready to go...no just to find Dave.]

[Dave is just outside the center leaning against Snoop. He's sipping on some coffee while he waits. He purchased saddlebags for specially designed for dragonnites a while back. They're loaded with supplies now, and Dave takes a second to give them one last check. If the straps are too tight it will be uncomfortable, too loose and they'll lose their shit.

Not an option he wants. Dave takes another swig of his thermos and turns to face the center.] Hey! Over here.

[John perks up when he hears Dave's voice, jogging over to him with his Lampent in tow. It's rare for him not to be accompanied by his Lopunny but with all the traveling...he seems to have opted to go without her.]

Sorry, took a little longer than I thought it would. [He nods to the Dragonite.] Sup, Snoop?

[Snoop bends down so her nose is within reach. Give her a pet, John. Dave takes that chance to double check the straps one more time.] It's cool, gave me time to talk to Jane and cheer her up a little.

[He fusses a second time, disguising that he really feels out of his depth for all the serious words he said to Jane. Sometimes things like this happen but he's only dealt with it from his own experience.]

[What's this? Snoop wants pets? Well like hell is John going to say no to that! Who's a good dragon?]

Good, good...she still holding up about the same?

[He pauses in mid-check of the bags.] Yeah, pretty much. Stuff like this just isn't easy to handle.

Mmm...yeah. It's not fun no matter which side of the equation you're on, really. [Love triangles suuuuuuck.] She'll be okay though. Jane's strong.

Yeah, she'll be fine. She'll bounce back from this.

Mmm. Yeah. Alright so...doubling up on rides for now since this is a long flight or should I bring out Giant or Cupid for myself?

[Why can't it be like the games where they can just straight shot it on one Pokémon in a matter of seconds? Goshdarn realism!!!]

Up to you, I'll all for either option. Snoop is a fast flyer and knows how to take two people on long journeys. [Because that makes sense, John. We can't have that.]

Alright then...I think I'll ride with you for now. We can switch to Giant once Snoop gets tired. [He reaches up and pats the Dragon on the snout again.] How does that sound to you, hm?

Sounds good to me, let's get going while the getting is good. [He pats Snoop's nose and she lowers herself down just enough for him to swing up onto her back. Dave extends a hand to John, ready to snag and yank him up.]

[John takes his hand, pushing himself off the ground at the same time as Dave yanks him up.]

Alley-oop!

[Road trip road trip roooaaaddd triiiiiipppp.]

[Once John is situated, Dave whistles and Snoops launches into the air. They rise fast, streaking in the direction of Saffron city like an arrow flying from a bow.
