yeaaaaahh. that was my reaction too when i saw the note.
but far be it from me to question jake's
no ok, that's a lie.
i definitely questioned the request, but i wasn't going to ignore it.

oh, and the whole "you need a certain badge to make high level pokemon listen to you" thing doesn't even apply here, so no need to worry about that.
so they aren't going to turn on you or anything like that.
but you also don't have to use them in battle right now if you aren't crazy about the whole newbie trainer with maxed haxx pokemon thing.
