[There's a pause, perhaps you should tell him why you called. At least until he interrupts...]

Hey, that's cool, but guess what?!

[Another short pause, perhaps you should guess what is so important that John felt the need to interrupt your surely riveting story.]

I am not actually here right now! So leave me a message and I will get back to you as soon as I can!

[You cannot hope to beat John Egbert in a prank-off. He is simply the best there is.]

Hehehehe...you totally fell for it, didn't you?

You ask about Elvis as if he's not mandatory.

Well I thought, if anybody, Miss Rose Lalonde might want to be a little unconventional about it! [He pinches her upper arm.] You know, break all the norms.

Perhaps I am keeping it a surprise for you. [[There was a squeak for that pinch and John got a pinch in return.]]

I should have known better, shouldn't I? [He takes one last, long swig of his cup, draining it entirely. Goodbye coffee. You were delicious.]

You know, though, there's just one problem to this whole thing.

Oh? And what might that be?

[With a grunt, he attempts to untangle his legs and lean forward with Rose still pressed up against his chest. He stretches out towards the coffee table, aiming to put the now empty cup down.]

[Understandably, it takes a few moments of struggling to accomplish this. But once he does, John sinks back into the couch with a sigh, attempting to resume his former snuggling against Rose.]

It involves getting up and frankly, I can't be fucked to bother with that right now.

[[He's completely allowed to try, but that might be difficult with her pressing against his chest again.]]

Hey. I didn't say it had to be right now. I am simply warning you that the sooner may be the better.

Okay, I'll put it at the top of my priority list, starting tomorrow.

[He screws up his face in concentration for a moment.]

Aaaaaand done! Prepare your vows, Rose. Because tomorrow they meet with mine. [He laughs, wrapping his arms around her. If she doesn't have her coffee in hand, he's totally going to try and get her to actually lay down on the couch with him. If she does, well then girl you better finish that up. Because he wants to lay down and snuggle. ~~And Katar can't be bothered to read back to see if she has her coffee or not because Katar is the laziest of lazies.~~]

[[It's on the table, luckily, and she's more than happy to lay down with him. To be honest, she's starting to get sleepy. Evidenced by a yawn as she snuggles up to him a little.]]

They're already prepared. I have them written down in one of my notebooks.

[Yes, good. Snuggl-- oh hell no. You did not just yawn, Rose. You did not wake him up in the middle of the night and let him drink a whole cup of coffee, only to start passing out barely even an hour later.]

[That had better not be a thing you're in the middle of doing right now.]

Pffftttt. [He nuzzles his cheek against hers, settling himself comfortably between the couch and Rose. Clearly, he doesn't believe her claim.]

[[Rose is more than happy to curl up against him, rather than the couch, and she laughs a little at that noise.]]

What? It's true.

Uh huh. Sure it is.

[He pinches her arm playfully, seeming to humor what he still believes to be a joke. He's not falling for it, Rose! Whatever it is you're trying to set him up for, it's not working.]

[[With a yawn, she chuckles and pinches him back.]]

Do you want me to get the notebook for you?

[John says nothing to that, instead merely pulling his head away so that he can actually look at Rose. And by look, I mean boggle because he's pretty sure that's not something Rose would say without having something to back it up.]

...you're not joking, are you?

[[She just smiles. She smiles a smile that says, "No, dear. I'm not."]]

Uh... wow. Okay.

[John shifts beneath her, almost seeming uncomfortable.]

That's um... wow. Already? Seriously?

Is there something wrong with that?

Well no! Not wrong just...unexpected? I mean it's so early still...

I haven't even given that issue any thought yet...

Well you have plenty of time. I was just thinking about our wedding...and the words sort of came to me.

Mmm...

[He falls silent for a few moments, idly tracing little circles on Rose's back with a finger.]

Do you think about that a lot?

What, our wedding? I do, yes.

[[She sighs a little, laying her head down on his shoulder.]]

Yeah, that. [Circle circle circle.]

What do you think about? Like...specifically, I mean?

Mmm... [[Closing her eyes, she gives that some thought.]]

Where it will be. When it will be. Our colors, our music...lots of stuff like that.

Do you still want it to be on the beach? [Hey look, he remembered that detail from the last time you discussed this over a year ago!] Or did you, in your infinite Roseishness change your mind on that?

I still want it to be on the beach...though in the forest wouldn't be so bad either. [[Just going to stick her tongue out at him.]]
