So, I ended up challenging the gym...even though I hadn't originally planned to.


...It went well. [No shit, Sherlock, they can see that.] And that's really all there is to say on the matter.

[For a guy who just got his first gym badge, he doesn't seem too excited. You would think a thirteen year old nerd would be over the moon about this, but he really isn't. Truth of the matter is, he was pretty excited until he made the mistake of thinking "Oh boy, I can't wait to show...Dave..." What's the point of earning a sweet badge if you can't even show your best bro because he disappeared three days ago?]

Oh, and if anyone could tell me about the Azalea gym, that'd be cool.

Already asked about the gym there. Bug type is the main thing, levels in the upper thirties. One's plain Bug type, one's Bug and Fighting, and the other's Bug and Steel. Bring Flying and Fire types.

Thanks, Claire. That does help, it's good to know I'll have a type advantage this time. None of my friends want to get stuck in Azalea for as long as we were stuck here so the sooner I can beat the gym the better.

Thanks for the heads-up! How strong are his bugs? I have a Pidgeot but one of my friends managed to beat Falkner with an Ariados...and because of that I can no longer underestimate bug types.

Just a bit stronger than Falkner. If you train on the way to Azalea, you should be fine.

He specialises in Bug types. Quite strong ones, too. Fire is very much advised, as is a flying type.

That seems to be everyone's advice...I guess I'll have to train my Pidgeot a lot on the trip to Azalea. Since I doubt I'll be able to find and train up a fire type in time. Exactly how strong are we talking here? In comparison to Falkner, how stronger is this guy?

Well, compared to Falkner... Bugsy's Pokemon are between levels 35 and 40, so they're quite difficult. And his Scizor is a Bug/Steel combination that absolutely flattened my Gyarados.

It's okay, luckily lots of other people do. Apparently it's bug types next. So you should be set if you just train Bec up a bit on the way there.
