prank #21 | action for violet city/video

[Action for anywhere in Violet City; Around noon]

[Hello Violet city. Having a nice day? Say, have you ever seen a seven foot tall ghost before? No? Well today's your lucky day then, because there's one (a Dusknoir to be exact) floating down the street this very moment. Should you happen to be walking toward this lazily floating spectre, you might not notice anything odd at first. Though if you look at its "collar" you'll see a set of human hands grasping each side of it.]

[Strange.]

[If you stand still and continue watching, letting the ghost float past you, however, the hands will make sense as you will be greeted with the following sight:]

[Yes, this is apparently the Dusknoir equivalent of a piggyback ride, and John is having the time of his life...even though it really isn't moving any faster than he could walk on his own. In fact, it might actually be moving slower.]

[Approach? He'll just be floating around for a while and doesn't appear to be too terribly busy.]

[Video Transmission; some time later...probably about 30 minutes to an hour.]

[When the feed clicks on, the image is very dark. Like, really dark. The only thing you can actually, sort-of see is John's face. And that's only because the dim light of the pokegear screen is reflecting off of his face. It's causing some major glare issues with his glasses, so you can't really see his eyes. However, he has what is quite possibly the biggest, most excited, grin ever on his face.]

Hey, did anyone know that the zig-zag pattern on Dusknoir's body is actually some kind of mouth? [A stifled, giggling noise.] Guess where I am right now?

[The feed clicks off.]

((ooc: Since the second one can technically also be action, please specify which scenario you're doing if you're going the action route. Thanks! :D))

...r-really?

[Guess who didn't check the pokédex entry? Okay, now he's thinking there might be a small cause for concern. Considering the whole Shedinja fiasco...]

[WELP JOHN, souls are kind of her thing, so...yeah, this is Maka looking through the pokédex now.

It reads off in a cheery voice:

...This is awkward.]

Um. But I'm sure your Dusknoir wouldn't take you to the spirit world.

[He really needs to get into the habit of checking that IMMEDIATELY after obtaining a new pokémon/evolution. As of right now, he just does it whenever he remembers. And if he's too excited about an capture/evolution he won't remember for quite some time.]

Yeah I...really don't think he would. I mean, he's my friend. Maybe that's only wild Dusknoirs. Like it was with the Shedinja. There was a guy who had one before all those wild ones showed up, and his never tried to take his soul...

[OH GOD PLEASE LET IT BE THE SAME CONCEPT. HE'S TOO YOUNG TO DIE.]

[Or it could be that the trainer-owned Dusknoirs secretly ferry off other souls--I MEAN--]

Yeah, of course! But Pokémon sure are interesting, aren't they? I didn't know there were ones that people believed brought souls to the afterlife.

...I guess it's appropriate that my Duskull is named Lord Death, then.

[Oh noooo!]

Very interesting! I didn't know that either, but I guess it kind of makes sense, since pokémon are supposedly responsible for a lot of things here. Like how supposedly Dragonairs are responsible for changing the weather. And if anything was going to be a pokéreaper, Dusknoir would be it. It looks the most like the Grim Reaper out of anything else I have seen.

I didn't know you had a Duskull too though, Maka. And I must admit that is a really good name for one.

He belonged to my friend Kid. He just sort of...ended up in my room when Kid left.

[...Oh, this stretch of silence is going on for a liiiittle too long.]

Um--yeah! I think he might be sillier than his namesake, though.

...Oh. Sorry.

[He didn't mean to make you think about that...so a topic change is good! Let's not think about people leaving!]

Sillier? Lord Death is silly in your world?
