[Hello Violet city. Having a nice day? Say, have you ever seen a seven foot tall ghost before? No? Well today's your lucky day then, because there's one (a Dusknoir to be exact) floating down the street this very moment. Should you happen to be walking toward this lazily floating spectre, you might not notice anything odd at first. Though if you look at its "collar" you'll see a set of human hands grasping each side of it.]

[Strange.]

[If you stand still and continue watching, letting the ghost float past you, however, the hands will make sense as you will be greeted with the following sight:]

[Yes, this is apparently the Dusknoir equivalent of a piggyback ride, and John is having the time of his life...even though it really isn't moving any faster than he could walk on his own. In fact, it might actually be moving slower.]

[Approach? He'll just be floating around for a while and doesn't appear to be too terribly busy.]

[Video Transmission; some time later...probably about 30 minutes to an hour.]

[When the feed clicks on, the image is very dark. Like, really dark. The only thing you can actually, sort-of see is John's face. And that's only because the dim light of the pokegear screen is reflecting off of his face. It's causing some major glare issues with his glasses, so you can't really see his eyes. However, he has what is quite possibly the biggest, most excited, grin ever on his face.]

Hey, did anyone know that the zig-zag pattern on Dusknoir's body is actually some kind of mouth? [A stifled, giggling noise.] Guess where I am right now?

[The feed clicks off.]

[Normally he would agree that, yes, this is the best idea ever. But that last bit concerns him a bit and kind of drives all thought of how awesome this is out of his mind. He was worried that's what she meant.]

One of my friends is in the hospital, so I abandoned work to go comfort him.

Now I'm stuck in a forest for two weeks without anything to eat or drink, and I just sit here all day and watch everyone have fun on the network.

It's all right. I'm more irritated if anything. Two weeks without amazing food and alcohol?! It's punishment in its own.

Prooobably. I doubt they take kindly to physical assault. So after two weeks do they just give up looking for you or something?

Yep~ That's the way the law works! You can even walk right past them the second it hits two weeks and they don't even notice!!

Wow. That's...yeah okay, I'm not even going to question it. Just going to chalk it up to more Johto weirdness. Good to know, though. Even though I don't plan on getting into trouble with the law. What forest are you in, anyway? Ilex?

Yep! I'm in Ilex! I tried to sleep near the shrine, but I woke up deep inside the forest and got lost for a couple of days [ INSUFFERABLE POUTING ] Sometimes this place is rather stupid!

I had no idea that could happen. The shrine thing, I mean. I definitely know how easy it is to get lost in there. Uh...word of advice though. I know you don't have any food but avoid the Paras mushrooms. Unless you want to start tripping for a few hours.
