[Hello Violet city. Having a nice day? Say, have you ever seen a seven foot tall ghost before? No? Well today's your lucky day then, because there's one (a Dusknoir to be exact) floating down the street this very moment. Should you happen to be walking toward this lazily floating spectre, you might not notice anything odd at first. Though if you look at its "collar" you'll see a set of human hands grasping each side of it.]

[Strange.]

[If you stand still and continue watching, letting the ghost float past you, however, the hands will make sense as you will be greeted with the following sight:]

[Yes, this is apparently the Dusknoir equivalent of a piggyback ride, and John is having the time of his life...even though it really isn't moving any faster than he could walk on his own. In fact, it might actually be moving slower.]

[Approach? He'll just be floating around for a while and doesn't appear to be too terribly busy.]

[Video Transmission; some time later...probably about 30 minutes to an hour.]

[When the feed clicks on, the image is very dark. Like, really dark. The only thing you can actually, sort-of see is John's face. And that's only because the dim light of the pokegear screen is reflecting off of his face. It's causing some major glare issues with his glasses, so you can't really see his eyes. However, he has what is quite possibly the biggest, most excited, grin ever on his face.]

Hey, did anyone know that the zig-zag pattern on Dusknoir's body is actually some kind of mouth? [A stifled, giggling noise.] Guess where I am right now?

[The feed clicks off.]

Um...well yeah. He's a really nice ghost though! I've had Elliot for months and he's never once done anything even remotely prankish or nasty. In fact, he's my only ghost who hasn't.

Yes, it is. It's nice to have one that I don't have to keep a near constant eye on. So I take it that you don't like ghosts then?

Aww...well not all of them! Like I said, Elliot's pretty gentle. I can see how some people might think he's kinda scary looking, but he's got a big heart! Well, you know. Figuratively speaking. And then my sister and her boyfriend both have very shy Gengars. So...just like people, not all ghosts are the same!

.....you really mean it?

Well, I'm not going to lie and say that there aren't scary ghosts. Because there are some out there who like nothing more than to terrorize people for no reason. But there are some people out there who like to do that exact same thing. So it's not fair to judge all ghosts based on the actions of some of them. Just like it wouldn't be fair for me to say that all people are bullies just because most of the kids at my school were.

So...yeah! I mean it!

Those are the ones I don't like. And you're absolutely right! I guess I thought that way because in my world, ghosts were always so creepy, spooky, and mean. In books, at least.

[She'll still be scared of some of them, though.]

Yeah, a lot of the stories in my world were like that too. But then we also had stories like Casper the Friendly Ghost. Though nice ghosts really were far less common.

Casper the Friendly Ghost?

Yeah! It was a really old cartoon back in my world. About a chubby little ghost who was...well, friendly. There was a movie about him, too.

That's not all that surprising. Casper doesn't seem like he would be a universal constant. Plus...you're from Japan, I'm guessing, right?

Oh, I've met Kyo-kun and Midori-chan before! But i haven't met the others yet.

They're all pretty nice. Hell, everyone I have met here so far is pretty nice, regardless of where they're from.

I am really glad that that's the case. Also the fact that it gave me the chance to actually meet my best friends in person. I am extremely glad of that.
