[Action for anywhere in Violet City; Around noon]

[Hello Violet city. Having a nice day? Say, have you ever seen a seven foot tall ghost before? No? Well today's your lucky day then, because there's one (a Dusknoir to be exact) floating down the street this very moment. Should you happen to be walking toward this lazily floating spectre, you might not notice anything odd at first. Though if you look at its "collar" you'll see a set of human hands grasping each side of it.]

[Strange.]

[If you stand still and continue watching, letting the ghost float past you, however, the hands will make sense as you will be greeted with the following sight:]

[Yes, this is apparently the Dusknoir equivalent of a piggyback ride, and John is having the time of his life...even though it really isn't moving any faster than he could walk on his own. In fact, it might actually be moving slower.]

[Approach? He'll just be floating around for a while and doesn't appear to be too terribly busy.]

[Video Transmission; some time later...probably about 30 minutes to an hour.]

[When the feed clicks on, the image is very dark. Like, really dark. The only thing you can actually, sort-of see is John's face. And that's only because the dim light of the pokegear screen is reflecting off of his face. It's causing some major glare issues with his glasses, so you can't really see his eyes. However, he has what is quite possibly the biggest, most excited, grin ever on his face.]

Hey, did anyone know that the zig-zag pattern on Dusknoir's body is actually some kind of mouth? [A stifled, giggling noise.] Guess where I am right now?

[The feed clicks off.]

What? Oh no, nothing's wrong. Just uh...thinking about that IOU.

[And absentmindedly scratching the Dratini behind the fins. What do you mean he's not one of his fluffy mammalian pokemon? Reptiles like to be scratched behind the ears too, don't they?]

[[And Derptini certainly is enjoying the treatment, making all sorts of pitched noises and trills in response.]]

Oh? And what might be on your mind then, hm?

Well uh...how to put this. Erm... [Another moment's debate.] you don't have to worry about it. Because there was only one thing I wanted to use it on. And I have that now so uh...

[Scratching with a little bit more intensity now, mostly out of slight nerves. He's still not sure if he wants to admit this...because it sounds really bad in his opinion.]

[[Well too late now, John. You have her very, very curious.]]

...well, I'm glad I was able to fulfill it then. What, perchance, was it though?

Well...see. The only thing I could think of that I wanted...was for you to go out on a date with me. But...if I had asked for that it would have been like I was forcing you to do that. So...I didn't say anything at the time. Then all that other stuff happened and the whole thing ended up slipping my mind anyway. So...yeah.

[Eye contact? What is eye contact? He's having a staring contest with the carpet right now. He's certain he can win.]

[[Well if you were to look at her face, John, you'd see a most brilliant blush.]]

...John, you are very sweet.

[Nope. Can't look. Too busy staring down the carpet.]

Heheh...I really don't see how that's sweet. But okay. And since...you already went on a date with me, I can't really...think of anything else that I want. Well, aside from another date, but we already covered that.

...well, keep a hold of it. Just in case you think of something. [[Reaching out, she gently takes one of his hands, playing with his fingers a little.]] Even if it is a third date, though you really don't have to use an IOU for that. I assure you that I will be glad to go on another date with you.

Okay. I will let you know if I think of something. [And nooowww he looks up at her.] What about a fourth date? Or would I have to use my IOU for that? [Bit of a giggle.]

[[Chuckling, she smiles and leans in to nuzzle her cheek against his a little. It's a very quick action, but a much easier show of affection than a kiss to the cheek was.]]

The IOU may not be used on any dates, as I hereby already agree to go on whatever ones you may have planned.

Should we pinky swear on that too? [He's joking, clearly. If the giggling didn't completely give that away.] But you know, you don't have to go on all of them. If I suggest something that you don't want to do or think is stupid or something then you don't have to go.

[[She's holding out her pinky anyway.]]

I'm sure there will not be a one that I won't wish to go on John.

[Then another pinky swear it is. John Egbert hereby swears not to take the easy way out of using his IOU and use it on dates.]

Well I hope not but still, just letting you know. Oh and...the same goes to you. If there's anything you have planned...date-wise.

[[Good.]]

I'll keep that in mind then. Hopefully whatever dates I may plan in the future will be enticing enough to tempt you into coming.

I'm positive they will be. And I can say that because you already planned one and it was amazing. So I'm sure that every idea you have will be just as wonderful.

[[Oh...well...now she's kind of worried. What if she goes with something simpler? John, expect a lot of extravagant dates and dinner plans now.]]
