[Now that the wong has wound down somewhat, John's starting to come down from his happy high a bit. Not that this really means much since he's pretty happy anyway. Sure he was a little confused to find himself in a room in the Cianwood hotel this morning considering he was in Goldenrod last he remembered. But that's beside the point!]

[The point is, clearly, the small pile of eggs visible on screen behind him, being tended to by a Lopunny in a pink sweater, an Espeon, and an Altaria. John clears his throat. Rose has entrusted him with selling the eggs while she's out taking care of other things and dammit he is not going to screw this up! PROFESSIONALISM IS KEY.]

Good afternoon! My name is John Egbert and as you can see, I have a few eggs here that need homes. I know what you may be thinking: [He puts on a nonsensical voice.] 'but I just got an egg yesterday, John! I really don't need another one!' And that's fine, you are entitled to your own opinon but let me just ask you this. Do you know what's better than one freshly hatched baby pokemon? [A pause and then an excited:] TWO freshly hatched baby pokemon! Or more! Seriously, you can never have too many baby pokemon! Especially when they are something as adorable as an Eevee, Swablu, or Buneary! Which, in my humble opinion is pretty much the most adorable pokemon there is.

Uhm... [He falls silent. Where was he going with this? He kind of got lost in his spiel there.] Oh right! I almost forgot. Egg moves and prices! [He pulls a crumpled piece of paper out of his pocket, unfolding it and reading it. Seems Rose left him a note so that he wouldn't forget...you know. The most important part of selling eggs. Though John seems to take some issue with what's written on the paper, quirking a brow and mumbling to himself for a minute.] Are these really the right prices...? [And then he remembers that this is still filming.]

Oh! Um, I am just going to send this info as a text since it will probably be easier than having me list it off verbally. Why didn't I just do that from the beginning...

I wouldn't say it if I wasn't, though I will admit I wouldn't want to tell everyone just yet. [[Because she knows that will bring judging, and while she couldn't care less what people think of her, she doesn't want to see anyone thinking poorly of John.]]

...oh. [He deflates a little, considerably less excited to hear that. That was going to be his next question.]

No, yeah I...get it. Because it's kind of weird, right? Since...we're so young.

[And he does understand! Frankly, if he's being completely honest here, he's not all that surprised to hear Rose suggest it. It's just...when he's happy about something, he doesn't like hiding it.]

But as long as we don't have to hide it from Dave, Jade, and Vriska, it's okay!

I was actually going to write a formal letter to Dave explaining everything, as well as one to Jade asking for her blessings as your sister.

...oh crap I probably should have asked Dave for his permission, shouldn't I? Since without his bro here that makes him the man of your family, doesn't it? [Okay, now his genuinely happy face is back on. Because he's getting a giggle out of that.] I guess I should at least ask for his blessings now though, shouldn't I? Since that's the best I will be able to do.

...I...I suppose that does make him that, yes. And I suppose so, though I doubt with how insistent he is at receiving nieces and nephews he would say no to our betrothal.

Hahaha, well you're right about that. He will probably ask us when he can expect little mini Roses or Johns to start pulling at his pant legs when we tell him about this.

Oh I'm sure. I'll have to let him know there's likely only a week left. [[And with that she playfully indicates their eggs.]]

[He giggles and looks over at the blanket-covered, pink and blue eggs.] Yeah. I still can't believe we got the same eggs though. I mean what were the chances of that?

If I knew the approximate number of residents that received an egg, I could tell you.

Nah, don't worry about it. You don't need to do all that math. [He leans against her shoulder and takes another bite of sandwich.] I just can't wait to see what they are!

I'm not surprised to hear that, but then again I'm rather excited myself.

[He grins and goes back to working on finishing up his sandwich with a hum. His face falls a bit when his eyes come to rest on her ring once more. There's still one other question he has on his mind that he didn't get the chance to ask before they were sidetracked by babies...]

Hey Rose?

You are going to wear it, right? Even though we aren't telling everybody?

[[John, sometimes you catch her so off guard with questions like that. If it were anyone else, she'd take it as a passive aggressive jab. As "Since we're not telling anyone, you're at least going to wear it, right? Or are you taking that away too?" But with you...

You both make her happy and make her heart ache with questions like that.]]

[He brightens at that, giving a happy sigh of relief. Slipping his right hand into her left, he gives it a quick squeeze.]

[[And she laces their fingers before he can pull it away.]]

[Oh don't worry, he did not plan on pulling his hand away any time soon. However, instead of answering her he lifts his head from her shoulder to press a kiss to her cheek.]

So are we going to write Dave and Jade a letter? Or call them? I have to send one Guile and Lestat's eggs to Jade anyway so we could send them letters too. They're together right now, In Celadon City somehow.

If you'd like to call them, feel free, but I have an obligation to write Dave a formal letter. I will need to pick up stationary later, as well as either a fountain pen or a quill and ink.

Yeah, exactly. I was glad to hear that they're both together though. It would have been awful if one or both of them had wound up somewhere all alone.

I don't want to call Dave if you're going to write him a letter though...that'll just ruin the surprise. But we can go get some stationery after dinner if you want. That way we can send Liv out to Celadon tonight.
