[Hello everyone, what are you up to this fine summer evening? Out training perhaps? Playing with your Pokémon? Sitting down to a delicious dinner? Maybe doing a little shopping before all the stores close?]

[Well whatever you're doing, no matter how much you are minding your own business, you may soon find yourself with a +1.]

[Aren't glitches fun?]

[John has no idea what's going on, one minute he was in the middle of his anniversary dinner with Rose and the next, he's lord only knows where with whoever "you" happen to be. Not that "you" aren't good company, and all! But it's kind of rude to leave your significant other in the middle of a date. But the worst part?]

[It keeps happening.]

[Whatever is doing this isn't content to let him stay in one place for very long. He keeps disappearing and reappearing with a quiet "zap!" every few of minutes, sometimes appearing back at the restaurant and other times appearing someplace else entirely. Dammit, can't a guy just eat in peace? This is terrible.]

[Why on Earth did he box that weird Pokémon he caught last night... better yet, why did he catch it at all?!]

That sucks. What'd you catch?

[... because if it's something common or distinctive, he'd like to know what it is so that he can try to avoid it. Really, if it's all the same to you, Johto, Yusuke would very much prefer that the schadenfreude he's experiencing at John's expense would stay as it is - that is, as nothing that's afflicting him personally. It's way more fun that way.

At any rate, the compliment on his choice of Pokemon gets him looking a little self-conscious all of the sudden; it's clear that he's trying not to make his discomfort too obvious, given the way he averts his gaze and puts a deliberate and very conspicuous amount of effort into keeping his face straight, but it, ah, doesn't work out that well for him. This lack of success at seeming ~cool and unaffected~ is only exacerbated by him mumbling:]

Thanks... I guess.

[:I Way to be awkward, Yusuke. Seriously, though, what does he even say to that? Even after a couple months here in Johto, he's still not used to the idea of being flattered by someone telling him, "hey, sweet jellyfish you got there, man". The Jellicent, of course, seems more appreciative of John's comment than Yusuke does, and with another high-pitched bubbly sound, she shifts and reaches out to John with a fin, her eyes genial. Put 'er there, buddy.]

Her name's Renge. Before you ask, I, uh, usually don't do this kinda thing with her, but with the way shit's hitting the fan recently, I thought it'd be safer for her just to swim around inside rather than go out and put her at risk of getting... I dunno. Suction-cupped to the bottom of a pond, or something. I mean, I doubt it's possible for a giant jellyfish to drown, but...

[He trails off with a shrug. IT'S JUST THE GENERAL PRINCIPLE OF THE MATTER, BASICALLY. He'd rather not have to deal with any of his Pokemon being afflicted by a glitch, even in spite of the fact that they're all a colossal pain in his ass.]
