Well I was just going to kiss him on the cheek you know? because I was gonna be all cool like "well if you smile and be nice to everyone for a change maybe I'll give you another present" but then he wouldn't stop asking and he kept pestering me!
So I finally gave in and grabbed him and yanked him so no one would see and then kissed him right on the lips because after all the arguing I couldn't just kiss him on the cheek you know? That'd just be disappointing. So I totally did it and it was awesome.

Okay Ir eally like him but ninjas aren't supposed to do stuff like that you know? even though most of the rookie girls would be swooning all over him and crap like that. I saw it at the Exams. And I am not going to be one of those dumb girls who cares more about dating some guy than being a legendary ninja. or pokémon trainer. whatever.

i mean, for all i knew, you could have just been really, really close friends. just because a guy and a girl are good friends, doesn't always mean there are romantic feelings involved on one/both side(s).
but you have to remember, i have a twin sister.
by now, i know the signs of girl crush when i see them. :P

but that aside, you can still do great things like be a pokemon master while dating someone!
(can't speak to ninja since i am not one, but i don't see why you couldn't?)
dating is great and a very enjoyable experience but it's not the sole thing that defines who you are.

um... well this is admittedly one area of dating that i am probably the actual worst for giving advice on hahaha.

actually, thinking back on it now, the whole thing was a minor disaster i am really not sure how we actually ended up dating as a result.
but anyway, yes, there is the obvious straight up asking him if you two are an item now.
there is also the opposite of doing nothing and waiting to see if he comes to talk to you about it.
oooor i guess you could just sort of bypass the whole thing and ask him out on a date?
which is slightly different than asking if you are datING because it sounds less presumptuous.
i mean one kiss doesn't automatically mean dating, i just asked because i thought it might have sparked a discussion which then lead to dating.
