So did anybody know that it's possible for Pokémon to be deaf?
[While John looks more or less fine, when he speaks there's a definite sort of half-squeaky grogginess to his voice that suggests he's only just recently gotten it back. Someone was pretty damn sick over New Year's (on his deathbed, one would think, the way he carried on) and has only just recently gotten over it. But at least his nose finally stopped running and he's done coughing. His lost voice just has yet to find its way back to him entirely.]
[He's sitting on the floor of his living room, leaning back against the couch. He's not looking at the camera, though. Instead, he's smiling somewhat fondly at a cheerful-looking Gothita playing with a squiddle doll a few feet away from him. She's chewing on one of the tentacles, giggling a little with her back to John.]
I feel like it really shouldn't be so surprising. I just never really stopped to think about it being a Thing That Could Happen, you know? [He turns his attention to the camera, finally.]
Anyway, so how was everyone's New Year? I missed ringing it in, myself.
[Time to play catch-up since he's been out of the loop for like a week now and fuck checking all the network backlog.]

[Baby would be happy to know this if she even know she had visitors. She's now staring intently at the blank TV as thought it is just the most fascinating thing in the world.]
There wasn't really much of a celebration for it...

Guile, meanwhile, is nuzzling her a lot.]

[Nope, too busy staring. Still holding the squiddle but she seems to have completely forgotten that it is a toy to play with. Wow she is really into one of her space outs, the dex was not kidding.]
Action;
Seems the Espeon has become very attached to her in a very short amount of time.]
I told you I would be fine. And it most certainly does not count.
Action;
[Earth to Stella. You have visitors!]
Action;
If I start coughing.
[She'll notice them when she's ready!]
Action;
Yeah, yeah. Hopefully I won't get the chance to gloat though. [He doens't want her getting sick. 8(]
So what brings you out here to grace us lowly mortals with your great and terrible presence? To what do I owe the honor, that you would decide to visit me, of all people!
Action;
[She grins a little though, curling her fingers into mock claws.]
Though perhaps I have come to prey upon you. Dave is convinced I am going to lay my eggs in you and not him, so I suppose I should get on that eventually, shouldn't I?
Action;
[What is this about eggs and who's laying them where and what now? What????]
Action;
Do you know of the desert wasp?
Action;
[He's going to regret saying that, he just knows it.]
[Meanwhile, Stella seems to have come back around and realized that, hey! There is something warm and furry behind her and oh goodness, it's Guile! She flails, burbling loudly and turning around to bury her face in the Espeon's fur.]
[Abubububububu.]
Action;
Then it's nothing.
[Unless you press the matter, you're apparently lucky today John.]
Action;
O...kaaaaay.
[Yeah, forget what he said to Kirigiri earlier. Rose is DEFINITELY back to her old self. Not just "seems to be."]
I have the inexplicable urge to pull out the book of sealing, however. Cast a spell to keep you permanently locked up in a basement until hundreds of years pass and Something Bad Happens and my descendant must pull together a rag-tag tam of misfits to try and stop you.
Action;
[Her smile implies that she is obviously teasing.
But no John. This is her baby. Stella is her baby just look at Guile tongue bathing the little one. Gotta get baby clean.]
Action;
That is not even close to what you were supposed to take from that, but if you say so.
[You have some interesting ideas of what is kinky, Rose.]
Action;
[What a perfect, precious baby. You will be the prettiest, Stella. Guile will make absolutely sure of it.]
So really it's your fault.

So, are you ready for vacation this weekend?
[It's gonna be great, Rose. So good.]

I am so ready. I have been looking forward to it, even if every day sort of already feels like a vacation. It's going to be wonderful though.
[She leans in, waggling her eyebrows.]
I've heard the cabins on the boat are soundproof.
Action;
[You're terrible and that's really all that needs to be said on the matter.]
Oh good! I guess that means nobody will be able to hear us every night when I do...this!!
[When he attacks you with tickles, apparently. That's what he's going to do. Every night.]
[I hope you're ready, Rose.]
I wouldn't want them to get the wrong idea and think I am killing you, after all!!
Action; GET OUT.
J-John--!!! [Nope. Laughing too hard to get a word out edgewise.]

S-st-stop--!! [As she continues laughing, she smacks the ground a few times, trying to roll away from him. Not that she's succeeding.
But while John is busy with this, Guile has nuzzled Stella, getting up with a couple of affectionate licks. And then she turns around and pounces John.
Are you prepared to get tickled yourself? Because Guile has been practicing. Her tail and paws tease at his sides, trying to at least get him off Rose.]
Action;
[John shrieks loudly as Guile's plan succeeds. Rose is free and now it is John's turn to be rolling on the floor unable to breathe or speak.]
Action;
You weren't expecting her not to retaliate, were you John?]
