Okay I think this is on...uhm. Hi everyone! It's John, and I finally made it to Cherrygrove! Aradia showed me how to use the video function, so this time you can actually see me instead of me typing all this out. Isn't that great!?

[A Pidgey joins the Dunsparce on frame, also looking up at the camera with a look that can only be described as exasperated. Clearly it does not approve of this utter failure of a video.]

Yeah, this is great. Except...I don't really have much to say. The trip was pretty much uneventful. I caught a Pidgey though! I named him Tripp after Matthew McConaughey's character in Failure to Launch. You know, because he's a bird. Failure to Launch. Bird. Get it? Haha! Come over here Tripp so they can see you. Come on.

[The Pidgey gives John (who is still off-screen except for his shoes) an 'are you serious look' and doesn't move.]

Okay well it looks like he's feeling kind of camera shy right now. Same with Colonel Sassacre...what are you both doing down there anyway? Okay well whatever, that's really all I have to say at the moment. Vriska if you're still in Cherrygrove I guess I'll meet you at the inn or something. You did wait for me, right? Right?!

Hi Jade! [the camera shakes kind of violently at this point as John is giving a very forceful off-screen wave to Jade.]It's a great name isn't it? I'm on a roll with these awesome nicknames, aren't I?

Wait...you said I took a video of my shoes? [The video feed once again begins shaking as John presumably messes with the camera trying to get it focused on his face. After a few seconds, his face appears on screen, although quite a bit off center.] Is that better?

So what have you been up to? How's life in Violet City? Is it as cold there as it is here?

Nothing much! I've mostly just been checking out some of the sights, like Sprout Tower! I'm kind of wondering why I never saw any Bellsprout there...

That does seem...weird. Why do they call it that then? That just seems stupid.

I think I heard someone say something about a legend involving a 100-foot-tall Bellsprout being at the middle of the tower or something...

That's...that's a huge Bellsprout. How did it even get in the tower? Or did they build around it or something?

I don't know! I don't even know if there is a giant Bellsprout!

Well did you see any giant Bellsprout remains? What would those even look like?

[And suddenly, the most horrified-looking Bellsprout ever appears on the video feed... you know. Inasmuch as a Bellsprout can look horrified. Jade just kind of stares at it for a second in concern before looking back at the camera.]

Uh... I don't know, but your question seems to be freaking my Bellsprout out a little!

Oh I'm sorry uh...Jade's...Bellsprout? Did you name your Bellsprout, Jade? It really should have a name. Anyway, I didn't mean to scare your Bellsprout. What else is in Violet then? You know, something having nothing to do with Bellsprout.

It's okay! And I'm planning on giving it a name! I just haven't thought of one yet...

I heard something about some ruins near here, but I haven't been there yet myself. Other than the tower, there's not really all that much here to look at, come to think of it...

Oh oh! You should name it Audrey II! You know, from Little Shop of Horrors? If it's a girl that is. If it was a guy that'd be kinda weird. How do you even tell with Bellsprout anyway?

Wow. Violet sounds really boring.

If you wind something interesting, you'll have to show me when I get to Violet! Though at this point...who knows when that will be. Between weather and troll drama, I'm wondering if I'll ever make it there.

Yeah, troll drama. I'm friends with two of them who don't get along. I really like both of them, but they hate each other and putting them together would be dangerouth and thtupid.

Oh, him. I haven't talked to him very much, but he didn't really seem to want to have anything to do with us... But judging from what he told me, he has his reasons...

Really? We had a pretty good conversation going. Turns out he likes programming too! Well...hacking. And he actually seems to be good at it. He said he'd show me a few tricks sometime!

Hmm... He said he really didn't want to talk to me! But after what he told me I can understand why.

[There's a long pause.]

He said he and the rest of the trolls were going to die because of something we did. Something about a demon and them being stuck somewhere...

That sounds awful! I guess it's good that they all wound up here then. At least they won't die this way. I wonder if we can fix it when we get back home...if we get back home I mean.
