prank #10 | video / action for route 32
[The video feed clicks on at three o'clock in the morning, a curious looking Eevee's face taking up the screen. She nudges the camera with her nose a bit, as though trying to straighten the camera. She then disappears off-screen, revealing a lovely nighttime view of route 32. A little ways away stand two human figures, accompanied but a Gastly which appears to be in the middle of a battle. The image is kind of wobbly and low to the ground, indicating that, once again, a pokémon has gotten a hold of his or her trainer's pokegear. Since one of the trainers is clearly John (for those of you who know him), it should be fairly obvious who the pokémon operating the camera is. Hint: it isn't Sassacre.]
Night Shade again, Slimer.
[John doesn't sound nearly as enthusiastic as usual. This is one of the side effects of being dragged out of your hotel room at 9pm and being forced into a non-stop grinding session. Rose, you are a slave driver.]
[Slimer however, seems to be pretty enthusiastic still (probably because he's only been the focus of this training session for the past forty five minutes or so) and obliges, finishing his opponent with glee.]
Wooo! That was good. Okay...can we go back to the hotel now, Rose? Are we done here yet?
I'm not certain, John. Has Slimer evolved yet?
...No.
I believe you have answered your own question then.
[There are a few Buneary and Eevee equivalents of giggles from nearby off-screen as John gives Rose a look that says something along the lines of "Are you serious?!" In return, Rose gives him one that says "Quite, now get a move on." Realizing that he's fighting a losing battle here, John groans and begins shuffling through the grass in search of another random wild pokemon for Slimer to defeat. Notebook in hand, Rose follows after him, eager to add more strategies to the growing list on the pages of her notebook.]
((OOC: Video tags will get a response from John, Rose, or both once Slimer has finally evolved. Rose is determined to have John level-grind until his pokémon are strong enough to take on the gym, he's not allowed to answer the 'gear till she's satisfied.))

Plus, if you are able to now, why not? Instead of the hassle of having to come back around?
Action; (1/2)
Even though it's a hassle to double back around...I want to be absolutely sure I can beat him. I don't want any of my pokémon to get really hurt, you know?
Action; (2/2)
And...I think you missed the point of what I was asking though, Rose. Why do you care if I get one or not? I mean, Jade's a trainer too, are you dragging her out in the middle of the night for training sessions too?
Action; 1/2? Maybe 3?
After all. Why was she focusing so much on John? Jade was indeed a trainer too, she likely had Pokemon capable of contending, and had yet to challenge the gym as far as she knew...]]

Action; 3/3
Jade obviously has Soul to encourage her into challenging the gym. She doesn't need my help. Dave has Karkat at the very least, not that he needs encouragement of his own. I've yet to see anyone make comment on your ability to defeat it, which in my opinion is well enough on it's own without my help, however you haven't been trying. So I am simply offering my assistance. I apologize if it's become a bother.

[[Let's change the subject to something safer.]]
Action;
[...And very awkwardly disappear into the tall grass to go look for Slimer. Where did you get to, you silly floating ball of gas?]
Action;
Don't get yourself hurt.
Action;
I won't! [Jeez he's not that careless!]

Dammit John, I told you to be careful.
[[Searching, searching.]]

What are you doing, John?
[[She is completely oblivious to the fact there is a Haunter lurking in the grass right now.]]
Action;
[Dare you turn around, Rose?]
Action;
What's this? Halos looks frightened too? Whatever could be the matter?
Tuuuuuuurrn....]]
Action;
How does this make you feel?]Hauunt!
[He cackles and opens his jagged line of a mouth, revealing a long pink tongue which he proceeds to run it right across Rose's face.]
[John. Is. Horrified.]

[[Pat to the head for the Haunter. Not really sure what to do about all of that ghost drool.]]
Action;
[He cackles and flips over in the air before disappearing back in the grass and presumably whizzing around like a loose rocket. That's what it sounds like at least.]
Oh my god...I am so sorry. Just...you're okay right?
[So mortified.]
Action;
...Fine. I assure you I am fine.
[[Slowly wiping her face off a little with her hands, grimacing as she shakes her hand after that. Why is this stuff so sticky?]]
We. Can be done training now. Since Slimer evolved.
Action;
[He pulls Slimer's pokéball out of his pocket, waiting for the mischievous ghost to come zooming out of the grass. He's so ready for this. He's going to get you, Slimer. You are going back into the ball and there's nothing you can do about it.]
[The grass in front of him rustles, and something that looks suspiciously like one of Slimer's hands pokes out of it. Haha! John has you now!]
Come on out, Slimer. I can see you there.
[Or at least, he thinks he does. But the reality of the situation isn't quite what John believes. Just as he's about to call his Haunter back, Slimer's body shoots out of the grass behind John, knocking him face-first to the ground. Slimer's hands, which had indeed been in the patch in front of him float over to join his body. Unfortunately for John, Slimer wasn't satisfied with just knocking his master to the ground.]
[That's right. It's tickle time. Slimer's pokéball is no longer in John's hands as he makes vain attempts at swatting the ghost away. It's not really working, he's just rolling round on the ground, laughing.]
Action;
After a few moments, her cheeks flush and glances down at the Pokeball by her feet. Perhaps. She. Should help him.
But. This was awfully cu--
Picking the Pokeball up, she hold it out towards the two.
Yes. Making the 'incorrect buzzer' noise from before.]]
Slimer, please stop tickling John. This is absolutely ridiculous.
