Was there some kind of Johto holiday that I missed? I found another egg when I woke up yesterday and I have no idea where it came from. It's in the box right now so I can't show it but...if anyone is missing an egg, let me know.

[The egg actually belonged to Clubs Deuce but he has no idea. Anyway, now that that's out of the way he can move on to his second order of business. The real reason he made this post. He holds up a small, red thing.]

I got my badge, Karkat so I'm ready to go whenever ev-- [A loud cracking noise cuts him off mid-word.] Oh shit. [He shrugs his backpack off one of his shoulders, reaching back and opening it up, mumbling something to himself as he roots around in his bag for a second.]

I really hope that was the sound of hatching and not breaking...Huh? The hell? [He pulls out a square-ish, beige-ish rock with a crack and two dots on it.] Did my egg seriously just hatch into a rock? Is this thing even al--AHHHHH!!!

[At that exact moment, a purple and green something popped out of the rock with a spirited, cackling "TOMB!!!" causing John to flail backwards, dropping the pokémon in alarm. Though it falls off screen for a second, it appears a moment later. Hello, Johto. Have a cackling Spiritomb face all up in your video feed before the now-trembling video feed is cut off with a squeak by a terrified Lopunny camera-girl.]

...Unless somebody has Foresight on a Fighting-type, or they have a Pokemon with that Scrappy ability like Whitney. Then... we'll be in trouble.

Haha, ye--oh wait damn, you're right. Okay well...most of the time we'll be unstoppable! Who's Whitney though?

She's the third gym leader, the one in Goldenrod -- and trains normal types. Her Miltank has an ability which lets Normal and Fighting-type moves hit a Ghost-type.

Also, she cries when she loses. A lot.

Oh! Thanks for the head's up on that one. I was going to ask what was waiting in the third gym. But my egg hatching made me completely forget what I was going to say.

She...cries when she loses? How old is she, six?

She's older then us, I bet you. She looked... 15? 16? Around those ages.

Yeah. I mean, even I wouldn't cry if I lost in that position.

...Maybe I should apply to become the Gym Leader there if she ever wusses out.

Seriously. Losses happen. Plus, as a gym leader you should be used to that kind of thing. People are supposed to beat you.

Ooo, that would be a fun job. And I bet you would be great at it!

Well, if you're a bad gym leader, that is. Now if you had a team of level 100 Pokemon who couldn't get hit by anything, it'd be a different story. [and so raz introducted the idea of wondertomb into the world of johto. somewhere, smogon is sobbing horribly.]

...If I became a gym leader, it might help me get closer to finding a way home, too. If only there was a way!

[But...Raz. People are supposed to be able to beat you! Gym Leaders are just supposed to be...mildly challenging, yet beatable.]

Yeah, that would be a different story. Heck, with pokemon that powerful you would be Elite Four material! Why stop at gym leader? You could probably even be the champion final boss guy!

And maybe it would, you never know!

The champ... yeah, that could be my goal! Become the champ, find out super secret champ-only info... it'd work out great!
[And that's when Raz decided he'd take the gym challenge seriously, instead of only battling them for the right to use certain moves.]

Yeah! It's a great goal to have, so I say go for it! Should be a cinch with the right amount of training.
