[There's a somewhat baffled look on John's face as he holds up an orange-ish disc emblazoned with a small 35 in front of the pokégear. On his shoulder, sits his loyal Dunsparce, Sassacre, staring at the small communication device with a blank a look as ever on his face.]

So I bought a few TMs and uh... [He pauses to give the disc a very pointed look.] Okay, basically how in the hell do these things work? Are they supposed to like...eat it or something? Because I'm not seeing any other way to insert a disc into a living thing.

[Somebody forgot to ask about it before he left the department store. Oops. He makes to turn the pokégear off, but stops, suddenly remembering something.]

Oh and...this might be old news, but Aradia has gone back home. I found her Kabutops in my box when we got back to Goldenrod.

Anyway, I think I found one of her Pokémon too.

[He falls silent for a moment, trying to decode that last run together sentence. All he really made out was "killing her," but that's the most important part, right?]

Oh. I always kind of wondered why she was a ghost. Guess that explains it then.

[Aaaand awkward silence. Of course he'll overlook it, but where's the fun in doing that right away?]

Look there were circumstances and all. I got what for. And I apologized and tried to make it up to her. Though, that ended up backfiring, then she betrayed me anyway. But yeah. I just prefer to let her do her thing. Especially because she was a robot for a while.

I even tried making her that robot body, but stupid Equius went and stabbed me in the back to try and get her. Ugh.

But when we first started playing Sgrub, she and I were going to be the Blue Team leaders and I had so many plans. It was going to be awesome. She was still willing to co-lead with me even after everything, I thought we had moved past it all.

Then she went and betrayed me and I ended up on the red team. Things haven't been the same since. Then she blew up.

So seeing her would have been awkward. But now I have this Pokémon of her's and I just keep wondering why.

[He remains silent, lost in thought over what to say next.]

Well. Does there really have to be a reason why you got it? I think...you should take it as a good sign. Just take care of her pokémon while she's away. And when she comes back, try your best to make amends again.

If you're genuinely sorry about it and you want to fix things, then there's no reason why you can't. And maybe instead of trying to make a million plans you should just take things as they come and see where they go. You can't plan for everything.

[That silence is killing. She's just sitting there biting her nails almost waiting for John to tell her off. But at the same time she knows better because she's had this conversation with him. So it shouldn't be such a big deal.

Yeah. You're right. I haven't ever been much good at not planning. I'm always planning ahead, plotting, schemey scheming. But maybe I should try that. Obviously things didn't work out last time.

I got her Aerodactyl. It's still sitting in the PC Box, but I looked it up through the data base. It seems very her. She was always into fossils and digging.

Mmmhmm. When something doesn't work, all that means is that you have to try a different approach. It will all work out okay, you'll see.

Yeah. She did, didn't she? That's why she ended up separating from the rest of us. An expedition to the Ruins outside of Violet. Heheh... [So much time has passed, oh my god. Was that really months ago?] Hopefully she won't be gone too long...

So other than that, are you doing okay still? Adjusting to Johto life and all that fun stuff?
