i am curious.
for the tournament next month, how are you picking your team?
not asking what you picked specifically, just the thought process behind it.
is it better to go with your strongest or your favorites?
or do you have a different game plan entirely?
it's a lot harder narrowing it down to just three than i thought it would be.
i know there's still plenty of time and i don't have to decide TODAY but the sooner the better, right?

I asked my Pokemon to see which were interested, and when there were more than three, I picked between the group based on their types. I wouldn't be successful if I used all of one type, after all. They cover each others weaknesses.

Being interested means they will be more motivated to winning than something that is only going with it because you want them to.

There aren't any types that don't have any sort of weakness, so you probably will want to see about their moves too.

I don't really have that many options for my roster since I'm still a bit new, but it seems like there's a correlation between my favorites and my strongest. I also took movepools into consideration so I could be prepared to go against as many types as possible.

I'm slightly nervous, since I haven't challenged any gyms yet but I threw myself into this... (´・_・`)

Thanks! I'll be sure to do my best...

Well, even if you like a certain type, maybe you could counter the other ones by having a good variety of move-types? Like, my Grass-type knows Earthquake, so I won't be completely helpless when someone tries to counter me with a Fire-type Pokemon.

Picked three that I like using with the best type coverage possible and a handful of nasty tricks for good measure.

I've got a special little trick planned for two of my teams that'll make any trainer I fight want to tear their hair out.

You can work around weaknesses if you pick the right strategy. Even with a serious type advantage, there are ways to throw your opponents off guard.

Heck, some Gym Leaders are a pain. I had to fight Sabrina twice because of her Wobbuffet. You'll probably be fine if you play your cards right.

D--> I would presume that the most advisable method of selection would be to choose your STRONGEST Pokebeasts
D--> Or those you wish to become STRONG
D--> Assuming you possess a sufficient quantity of Pokebeasts
D--> I have entered my entire team
D--> Across several of the offered brackets

D--> Unless I have been grossly mislead, yes
D--> And I presume you speak of elemental typings
D--> Such considerations are obviously important, but I would assume that the STRONGNESS of the beasts in question would form the basis of your sele%ion

I choose the ones that wish to go.
Is that not the obvious choice?
Sending out Pokemon that hold no interest in that sort of thing is bound to end in failure.
One must have a reason to do battle after all.

I chose based on which Pokemon work best together.
As well as which give me the best range of advantages.
tentacletrainer: (Well it's all very simple really.)

Well to a certain extent it is.
