[Since John was finally starting feel a little better (his voice was still a little messed up but hey, at least that cough was finally gone) he decided that this was as good a time as any to do a little training with the Wooper Dave gave him last week.
So he's on route 32, standing in a patch of grass with a disheartened look on his face. His Dunsparce is sitting on his head looking derpy as usual and his Buneary is rolling around happily in the grass a few inches away. Apparently he still doesn't fully understand the concept of keeping all his pokémon in their pokéballs.]
[His Wooper though...is supposed to be fighting a Mareep, although that's not what's happening.]
Rose, please...use mud shot.
[The Wooper ignores him with a very bored look on her face. This has been going on for the past five minutes, even the wild Mareep isn't sure what to make of this at this point.]
Rose...pleeeaaaassseeeee. I am begging you. Do...something! Anything!
[Woop. She is so bored by all of this. John is past the stage of disheartened now and now entering the realm of utter soul-wrenching despair.]
...Flighty Broad...Please. Use. Mud shot.
[The Wooper complies, and then continues the rest of the fight without her master's direction as he had sunk to his knees in defeat. It's really tough to say whether there has been a victory here or not.]

It's because flighty broad rolls off the tongue for her. She's annoying enough sometimes that I need something good to call her then - and so I'd call a Pokémon named for her that, too.

Some lady named Larxene said she was Eridan's. I meant to ask you about what that meant actually. She said it was the alien version of friends but somehow I get the feeling that she didn't quite understand the real meaning. Because if they were just friends they'd be Earth Human Buddies, not mo-thingies.

It's like this. Pale quadrant. Conciliatory red romance. Symbol is a pink diamond. In a moirallegience, there's two people: one more level-headed, and someone more reckless in some fashion. It's the job of the level-headed one to reign in the other, giving them advice and basically telling them to cut shit out if it's bad, in order to make them a better person in general.
It's not just like anyone else helping you out or anything, I want to note. It's a devoted sort of thing - one focused on helping the other particularly, who in turn has to be willing to put up with whatever annoyances to some extent, since it's for their own good.
So long story short, Rose has been helping me out a lot lately, and between one thing and another I ended up asking her. And she returned it.

[Dawning realization: suddenly all his friends are dating Karkat. How long before Jade joins the club?]
Wait so does that mean you're dating Dave and Rose now?
[He looks a bit crestfallen. He wasn't exactly sure why, but the thought made him a little bit sad. Maybe it had something to do with all that stuff that happened on Valentine's Day. No, that couldn't be it and why was he even thinking about that?]

Because it's a devoted sort of relationship, like I said. Like all the other quadrants, there's supposed to be a sort of fated person you'll meet up with through whatever coincidences who is destined to fill that quadrant with you, and you with them, via the forces of troll serendipity.
[Don't think he doesn't catch that look, though. Now it's Karkat's turn to frown come, eyebrows drawing in a touch as he considers.]
In a sense. But I'm not surprised it seems weird to call it romance for you. Under most circumstances it seems like you humans only have the equivalent of flushed romance - which isn't what moirallegience is. Your moirail's still really important to you and everything, but there's not the physical closeness.
[Another pause... that look still had him. The video flicks off for a second.]

So let me put it this way - unless she has some sort of relationship with someone I don't know about, I haven't 'taken' her by the standards of your human romance. What we have is the pale quadrant, not flushed.
